Souper Stuffed Cheeseburgers

Souper Stuffed Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Beefy Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese [or mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese]

Directions

  1. Combine Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Beefy Onion Soup Mix, ground beef and water in large bowl; shape into 12 patties.
  2. Place 2 tablespoons cheese in center of 6 patties. Top with remaining patties and seal edges tightly.
  3. Grill or broil until done. Serve, if desired, on sesame rolls.

Classic Onion Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in large bowl; shape into 8 patties.
  2. Grill or broil until done, about 12 minutes.

To make Philly Cheesesteak Burgers, cook 2 bell peppers, sliced with 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix and 3/4 cup water unitl tender. Stir in 4 slices provolone cheese until melted. Serve over burgers.

Golden Onion Turkey Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Golden Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground turkey
  • 6 hamburger buns

Directions

  1. Combine Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Golden Onion Soup Mix with ground turkey in medium bowl; mix well. Shape into 6 burgers.
  2. Grill or broil burgers, turning once, until cooked through, about 10 minutes. Serve on buns with your favorite burgers toppings.

Add 2 Tbsp. Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise and 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar for added tang.

Balsamic Portobello Burger

  • Marinate for 60 min
  • Cook Time:8 min

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh herbs, (such as basil, thyme and rosemary)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 8 portobello mushrooms, gills and stems removed
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 whole wheat buns [or multi-grain buns], toasted if desired

Directions

  1. Whisk Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix, vinegar, herbs and olive oil in medium bowl until well blended. Pour into large resealable plastic bag, add mushrooms; turn to coat. Seal bag and marinate 1 hour.
  2. Grill or broil mushrooms, turning once, 8 minutes or until tender, adding cheese during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Serve on buns.

Ultimate Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger

  • Recipe serves:8
  • Prep Time:10 min
  • Cook Time:12 min

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 slices bacon, crisp cooked and crumbled
  • 4 ounces steak sauce
  • 8 hamburger buns, toasted if desired
  • 8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled

Directions

  1. Combine Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix, ground beef, crumbled bacon and water; shape into 8 patties.
  2. Grill or broil burgers, turning once and basting during last 2 minutes with steak sauce, 12 minutes or until done. Arrange burgers on buns, then top with blue cheese.

Double Bacon Cheddar Smokehouse Burger

  • Recipe serves:6

  • Cook Time:30 min

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 lb bacon, divided
  • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 6 Tbsp BBQ Sauce
  • 6 hamburger buns

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400. Arrange half of bacon slices on broiler pan. Bake until crisp, 15-20 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Place remaining 1/2 pound of bacon in food processor and pulse 3-4 times.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped bacon, Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix and Worcestershire sauce. Form in to 6 patties.
  4. Grill or broil hamburgers until done, approximately 10-12 minutes. Top hamburgers with cheese slices. Cook until melted.
  5. Arrange burgers on top of buns and top with cooked bacon slices and BBQ sauce. Top with lettuce and tomato if desired.

Loaded French Dip Burgers

  • Recipe serves:4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix, divided
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 C water
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 lg sweetonion, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone or swiss cheese
  • 4 large slices of crusty french bread

Directions

  1. In a large non-stick skillet saute peppers and onion in a little bit of olive oil until soft and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes, season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove from pan, and set aside.
  2. Heat 2 C of water and remaining 2 tbsp of onion soup mix until boiling, cook for 5 minutes and remove from heat.
  3. Combine ground beef with 2 tbsp of onion soup mix, mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce. Divide meat into 4 equal portions and form into patties. Brown patties in the same skillet used for the peppers and onions. Cook over medium-high heat until desired level of doneness and top with a slice of cheese.

For assembly: place burgers on toasted french bread and top with cooked peppers and onions. Serve with prepared onion soup for dipping.

Onion Jalapeño Shmear Burger

  • Recipe serves:8
  • Prep Time:15 min
  • Cook Time:10 min
  • Chill Time:60 min

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 packet Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
  • 12 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 jalapenos, diced
  • 8 hamburger buns

Directions

  1. Separate beef into 8 even balls.
  2. Sandwich each ball between two sheets of wax paper and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Lightly press to form patties into desired thickness.
  4. In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  5. Lift the wax paper and sprinkle both sides of meat with the salt mixture.
  6. Cover and let refrigerate for about an hour.
  7. Pre heat grill to 400°F.
  8. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes, each side.
  9. Mean while, in a small bowl, combine your Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix, cream cheese, and jalapenos.
  10. Assemble your hamburger with the desired condiments and toppings, making sure to spread a generous amount of your cream cheese mixture on top of the hamburger patty.
  11. Serve on buns and enjoy!
